About MaiKai Wedding Designs
We are a full service wedding and event planning company, serving South Jersey and surrounding areas. Specializing in beautiful weddings and events on a budget, we strive to provide every client with superb service while working diligently to bring their vision into realty. In addition to planning beautiful events, we also sell bridal jewelry / lingerie . We are an authorized dealer for Carlson Crafts and McPherson and can assist with all your wedding invitations and accessory needs. About Vernell Marie Lewis
MaiKai Wedding Designs was born out of a love for beauty, design, organization and attention to detail. Owner and wedding planner, Vernell Lewis decided to pursue her passion as a career in 2007, after years of planning wedding and events for pleasure. Vernell has planned wedding and events of various budgets and timelines. Before pursuing her career in wedding and event planning, Vernell worked with her mom growing their natural hair and skincare company called Pretty Natural. She used her organizational skills and attention to details to perform Executive Assistant duties to the President. She was also responsible for designing and creating marketing materials such as brochures, catalogs, product labels and the company website. She has planned events for Pretty Natural as well. Outside of MaiKai Wedding Designs, Vernell is a stay at home mom who enjoys spending time with her two beautiful daughters and husband of twelve years. She sits on the board of a non profit organization as Co-President and is also involved in the organizations community service committee. She is down to earth, loves to laugh and finds beauty in everything. Vernell Lewis is just beginning her career as a wedding and event planner, but her professionalism, organization and attention to details are of those of a seasoned planner. She is creative, works hard to achieve her clients vision and stay within their budget.

Wedding "Day of" Coordination Package starts at $550.00 This package is for the couple who has taken care of all the details that go into planning the wedding and just need someone to ensure that their vision is carried out the day of. Service will begin two weeks prior to your wedding date. •Complementary consultation with bride and groom to get pertinent information about the wedding. •One in person consultation appointments as wedding day approaches. You will also receive ongoing contact via phone and email and in person meeting to visit the ceremony / reception sites.•Preparing a detailed wedding day timeline.•Planning and distributing wedding day itineraries for vendors and bridal party.•Checking with vendors to confirm arrangements for the wedding day. •Ceremony planning including Rehearsal coordination.•Full Wedding Day coordination (from beginning to end, arriving at least 3 hours before the ceremony start time). This includes, but is not limited to, the following services;Directing the ceremony and reception.Overseeing set-up of ceremony and reception sites. Organizing your family and bridal party for the ceremony, formal photographs and reception introductions, toasts, etc.Direct the ceremony processional and cue musicians.Direct the reception, including providing cues to vendors for cake cutting, toasts, special dances, garter toss, etc.Hold late guests from entering until after the bride makes her entrance. Ensuring that all vendors are following the wedding day itineraries. Distribution of final payments / tips all vendors.Act as a liaison between all vendors and you.Greeting and directing vendors as needed, including receiving all deliveries.Greeting and assisting guest as needed.Assistance with dressing, corsage and boutonniere distributing and pinning. Ensuring that bridal party is available and prepared for photos, reception introductions, etc.Providing an emergency kit. Retrieve all items at the end of the day and give to designated person(s).Handle any unusual situations as they arise.
Service 2
Finalization of Details Package starts at $950.00 This package is for the couple who has done some of the planning but may need help with some of the final details of the planning process. Includes up to five hours of consultations for finalizing all details, including décor suggestions.Finalize all contracts with established vendors.Provide additional vendor referrals, as needed. Review or design detailed wedding day timeline.Review or design floor plans. Provide final guest count to catering manager.Final site(s) walk through.Confirm hotel accommodations for your guests.Assist with final checklist to ensure you have completed everything.Providing information to obtain marriage license and name change.Assist with any last minute projects such as seating assignments, place cards, programs, menu cards, favors, etc, if necessary.Planning and distributing wedding day itineraries for vendors and bridal party.Ceremony planning including Rehearsal coordination.Final vendor confirmations / distribute payments. Full Wedding Day coordination.Includes all of Wedding "Day of" Package Services

Full Service PlanningPackage starts at $1600.00 This package is for the couple that needs help with the majority of the details that go into planning a wedding. We are with you from beginning to end. •Unlimited consultations and meetings via phone, email (and in person as needed).•Help develop and manage budget. •Organize planning timeline for wedding.•Etiquette advisement.•Correspondence with wedding party to inform of important deadlines, appointments, etc.•Assisting with venue selection / vendor referral based on clients budget and style. (i.e. florist, photographer, videographer, baker, etc)•Event design, theme and décor concept development based on your vision.•Invitation, stationery and favor selection (assembling invites / postage is extra).•Arrange vendor appointments and accompany you to vendors if applicable. •Keep you informed of important appointments and deadlines.•Menu tasting and assistance with menu selections and details.•Vendor Contract review and negotiation.•Act as key contact for all vendors, and if needed, bridal party. •Final site(s) walk through, includes meeting with client to review last minute details, concerns and plans.•Guest list and RSVP management.•Providing information to obtain marriage license and name change. •Assist with reserving guest accommodations.•Ceremony planning including Rehearsal coordination. •Planning and distributing wedding day itineraries for vendors and bridal party. •Assistance with rehearsal dinner location and arrangements (design concept is extra).•Creating and distributing wedding day itinerary to bridal party and vendors •Vendor confirmation and coordination.•Full wedding day coordination, including reception and ceremony site decoration (supplies not inclusive)•Includes all of Finalization of Details Package Services.•Includes all of Wedding Day of Package services.

We will implement that design by decorating the venue the day of the event. This package can be customized to include set-up, breakdown and shopping for decorative items (cost of decorations not included). Design and More Package starts at $300The Design and More Package includes creating a design concept for your event, decorating the venue for the event and shopping for the decorative items (cost of decorations and supplies not included). In addition, we will incorporate some additional event planning items including:•Assembling Favors / Gift Bags•Contacting your vendors the week of the event to confirm details. This package can be customized to include event breakdown and event coordinator during the event. Fees vary based on needs and size of the event, please contact us for more information.

Full Service Event Planning Package starts at $500This package provides you with event planning from beginning to end. It includes all items in the packages above in addition to the following: •Work with vendors from beginning to end to ensure a successful event •Provide vendors with a detailed itinerary the day of the event. •Event Coordinator for the entire duration of the event. •Event Breakdown This package can be customized to include additonal services specific to your event.
